The Pardeeville High School’s (Students Taking Alternate Routes to Success) S.T.A.R.S. program is designed to develop skills and behaviors that will lead to success in school and life. This program offers students who have struggled in the traditional educational setting an alternative path to a successful education and graduation.
S.T.A.R.S. uses three approaches:
1. Academic Support:
Students work in a supported study hall and receive individualized help.
2. Credit Recovery:
Students use the NovaNet software based on the National Curriculum Standards to earn credits at their own pace.
3. GED Option 2 Program:
Some of the requirements are passing four GED tests in addition to passing courses in American Government, Health, Personal Finance, Careers, and Physical Education. Students must also be employed, perform community service, and present a graduation project.
