Mathematics
The math department at Pardeeville High School offers a variety of courses for different students’ needs and goals including Advanced Placement Calculus AB for those students up for the challenge of earning college credit for their efforts. Standard learning tools for students who wish to enroll in a 4-year college are Algebra I (which can also be paced over 2 years), Geometry, Algebra II, and Trigonometry. For students who do not plan to attend a 4-year college, we offer courses such as Living Skills Math, Consumer Math, and Math Concepts. In our college-bound courses, we use a cooperative learning atmosphere to increase creative thinking, social responsibility and problem solving strategies. Plans are underway to replace the Algebra I textbook with an updated version for next year.
