Past Plays:

Mystery Dessert Theatre "For Better or Wurst" Fall 2012

An audience participation comedy where the audience gets to guess "Who Dun-nit" and be entered in a drawing for a prize
Shows run 7:00pm Nov. 2nd, 2:00pm Nov. 4th, 7:00pm Nov. 9th
On the Elementary Scool stage
Tickets are $10.00 and include: the show, dessert, beverage & a free guess
Seating is limited and reserved. Tickets go on sale in the High School office starting Oct. 15th

Drama Club, the club with “character”
 
Drama Club is a long standing organization at PHS., steeped with tradition and new ideas.
Membership runs between 25 to 50+ members a year.
Members must be high school students.
To become a member new inductees must initiate in September.
 
Fall Activities
The club produces a Mystery Dessert Theatre that runs the first two weekends of November.
Every fourth year a holiday play is produced in place of the Mystery Dessert Theatre.
Try outs for cast members is in September, with practice starting at the end of the month.
Crew members start their jobs in October.
In September a trip is taken to, the outdoor American Players Theatre.
The third Friday in November members attend the WI High School Theatre.
                (Different colleges host the event, where theatre workshops and plays are presented.)
 
Winter Activities
In December member that wish to, dress in Olde English costume and sing carols as they stroll through the halls of the Columbia County Health Care Facility.
In January the club organizes a community service project to take place by March.
February brings spring play try-outs, and crew work begins.
 
Spring Activities
Spring play practice starts in March, and crew work continues.
In March or April the club attends a professional performance. (Ex.: The Fireside Dinner Theatre, Medieval Times)
The first two weekends in May the spring play is presented.
An end of the year dinner party and awards presentation rounds out the year.
 
The club is looking for members that have interests & talents in:
Carpentry: to build sets
Designing: to design the sets
Clothing: to choose, make & maintain the costumes
Technical equipment: to prepare & run the sound and light systems for the shows
Hair & make-up: to plan and implement each actors designated design
Advertising:  to design the posters, programs, and sell advertising
Gadgets: to find, make, improvise and maintain the props
Organization: to stage manage the show
Working backstage: as the prompter or stage crew
Selling tickets & concessions: required only at performances
Performing: as a cast member
