Years Teaching: 10; this year will be my 11th year of teaching. I started out teaching English to freshman, sophomores, and juniors at Kewaskum High School, which is just a short 10 minute drive from West Bend. I taught in Kewaskum for two years. My next stop was Mukwonago High School near Milwaukee, where I taught sophomores, college prep juniors, and seniors for three years. I also was the coach of the dance team at both schools. This will be my sixth year of teaching at Pardeeville High School teaching English.
I am truly excited to be teaching back in the area where I grew up. I have spent several years roaming the Oshkosh and Milwaukee areas, and now I have moved closer to home to be with my family. I currently live in DeForest, WI.
Interests: I love sports and being outdoors. I am an "adrenline junkie." I play volleyball, softball, and I love to dance. I played volleyball, softball, and was on the dance team in high school. I am also a work-out fiend. I am in the gym 4-5 times a week. I ran my third marathon a few summers ago up north in Hurley, Wisconsin. I have also been sky diving twice. I four-wheel, snowmobile, and I love the water. I hope to someday own my own boat.
I have a daughter named Teiler Dawn Hirst. She will be 2 in November already! Being a new parent is definitely a HUGE change! I also have a Masters degree in K-12 administration from UW-Madison; I now have a principal license and a curriculum and instruction license.
